Some of Prominent IPL Contests This Year 2009

With the IPL fever gripping the nation, there have been too numerous to count contests and fantasy games being conducted online right now. I am sharing here some or perhaps many of the contests based upon only the IPL that have been floating around online. To start with, Titan Watches is currently running a contest where you will need to choose the Titan of the Day from the matches that is being played daily. That is you will need to choose a player that according to your opinion will be the top scorer or top wicket taker from both the matches that is being played everyday on IPL. Here is another contest page from McDowell's T20 Fan Friendzy contest where you can win tickets to the T20 world cup this year.

There is the usual Cricket Fantasy Game 2009 that is being run by Cricket Next where you can win cash prize up to Rs. 9 Lakhs. You will need to pick cricketers who are playing in IPL in your team, online and you will score points according the runs scored and wickets taken as well as catches caught and those who have maximum points will win the top prize. There is a daily draw for up to Rs. 10,000. Weekly winners can get up Rs. 25,000. There is also a special bumper prize of Rs. 1 Lakh. Check out this special fantasy game here. Similarly there is a concurrent contest going on at Cricket Next namely Satte Pe Satta. You will need to predict on who is going to win the toss for a particular match in IPL. Indian Express has come up with a contest namely Indian Premier League Pick The Score contest where you will need to predict scores for the IPL matches and can win prizes worth around Rs. 1 Lakh. You will need to predict the number of sixes being hit and the score, winning team, etc. You will be rewarded with points for every correct prediction and at the end you can cash in on these points for cash. Kingfisher, the official partner of many IPL franchisees has come up with a contest in which you will need to prove to them "Why are you the Biggest & Truest Fan of your IPL team?" and shoot a video to prove the same. The video must be wacky, funny and humorous to demonstrate how big fan you are of one of the five Kingfisher partner teams in IPL namely Delhi Daredevils, Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals. Just like last year's offer on Akshaya Tritiya, ICICI Bank has come up with an offer for this year's Akshaya Tritiya too. Now this time, they are giving away free gold coin, well almost free, for the purchase of gold coins. This year, they have come up with "Gold pe Gold" offer. You should buy gold coin (at the specified weight mentioned below) from ICICI Bank during this offer period at any of the branches where they are selling gold coins to avail this offer. To elaborate this offer, you will need to purchase a gold coin which has a net weight of 50 g and you will get one ICICI Bank gold coin of 1 g at the special price of Rs. 1.01 only. This is like giving it away almost for free. But you will need to buy the 50 g gold coin from them which might be way to high for many considering the current gold price!

The next offer is that you will need to buy gold coin with a net weight of 20 g from ICICI Bank and you will get an ICICI Bank gold coin of 0.5 g at a special price of Rs. 1.01 which is including all the taxes.
